The Firestone Pathway AS is a touring all-season tire for sedans and minivans, aimed at drivers who want the weather covered without paying for grip they will never ask for. ENLITEN technology sits underneath it, keeping traction and tread life in the same rubber rather than winning one at the cost of the other. Rib widths are set so the tread carries load evenly from shoulder to shoulder, and the compound is mixed to resist the uneven wear that turns up on cars running the same rough route every day. Sipes cut deep into the tread hold their edges as it wears, so the Firestone Pathway AS still has something to grip with in rain and light snow late in its life. For a commuter sedan or a family minivan, the Firestone Pathway AS asks very little and covers the year.
