Driving Impact Beyond the Road

Tire Agent supports causes that help people move forward — from funding blood cancer research to helping neighbors find stable housing. Here’s why it matters to us.

How Tire Agent Gives Back

At Tire Agent, we've always believed that a business has a responsibility to the people it serves — not just at checkout, but in the communities where they live.

That belief shows up in two partnerships we're proud to be part of: our sponsorship of America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride with Blood Cancer United, and our ongoing support of The Hoboken Shelter. One happens at Lake Tahoe every June. The other happens every single day, three blocks from our front door.

Blood Cancer United: America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride

Since 1992, America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride has brought together cyclists, survivors, caregivers, and supporters in a shared effort to end blood cancer. Each June, thousands of riders circle Lake Tahoe on one of the most scenic endurance routes in the country — raising millions for research, treatment, and patient support.

The numbers tell part of the story:

  • 30+ years of riders circling Lake Tahoe
  • ~2,500 riders take part each year
  • ~$120M raised for blood cancer research and patient support
  • 3 route options — 35, 72, or 100 miles

This year, Tire Agent is proud to be a supporting sponsor of the June 7 ride — contributing to the mission and standing behind the people this event is built around.

"Blood cancer touches so many families. We wanted to support something where the effort is visible — where you can literally watch people push themselves for a cause that matters. America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride is that kind of event." — Jared Kugel, Founder & CEO, Tire Agent

The June 7 ride starts and ends at Lake Tahoe.

The Hoboken Shelter: Helping Neighbors Get Back on Their Feet

Five Tire Agent team members work in the Hoboken Shelter's food kitchen

The Hoboken Shelter has been a cornerstone of our local community for decades. Run by Communities of Faith for Housing, Inc., the shelter provides meals for the hungry, a safe place to sleep, case management, counseling, job skills training, and — most importantly — a path to permanent housing.

In 2025 alone, 198 neighbors successfully transitioned out of homelessness into stable housing through the shelter's programs.

That kind of impact doesn't happen by accident. It takes consistent community support — donations, volunteers, and organizations willing to show up year after year.

"What impressed me most about the Hoboken Shelter is that they don't just provide a bed for the night. They provide the support, resources, and housing assistance people need to get back on their feet and build a better future. I encourage anyone in the area to get involved and support their incredible work." — Jared Kugel, Founder & CEO, Tire Agent

Support Your Local Shelters

  • Send a gift: Many nonprofit shelters have wish lists that include much-needed things like:
    • personal hygiene items
    • socks and underwear
    • bus passes
    • non-perishable food
    • footwear

    • new bedding and sleeping bags
  • Donate money: Charitable nonprofits are always in need of cash, and donations to 501c3 organizations are tax deductible.
  • Give time: The gift of time is always welcome:
    • serve meals
    • collect and sort donations
    • give administrative help
    • share specialized skills (dentists, barbers, job counselors, tutors, etc. are always appreciated)

Why This Matters to Us

Tire Agent exists to make tires and wheels accessible to every driver in America — to remove financial barriers and take the stress out of a purchase that, for a lot of people, hits at the worst possible time.

The organizations we support are built on a similar premise: that everyone deserves access to what they need to keep moving forward, regardless of their circumstances. That's a mission we can get behind.
